Noelle Richmond
Pilates Instructor

noelle-head_shot Noelle is a classically trained and fully-certified Pilates instructor.  She left a career in nonprofit management several years ago to pursue her growing interest in health & fitness.  She has been studying and practicing the Pilates Method of Body Conditioning since 1997 and completed her 700-hour teacher certification from Excel Movement Studios in Washington, D.C. in 2002.  After practicing Pilates at Excel for three years, Noelle taught at several local gyms and the AAMC Wellness Center.  In May 2006 she opened Body Libra, a fully-equipped Pilates studio here at The Lifestyle Center of Annapolis.  

Noelle sees clients by appointment for private and duet sessions and also teaches mat classes to groups of 4 or more.  She enthusiastically encourages people of all fitness levels to experience the incredible benefits of Pilates and discover for themselves the positive changes it brings.   Noelle brings a compassionate, yet focused approach to her practice and has developed a loyal following. 


 

Michael SalustioMichael A. Sallustio, CPFT, CNC, JD
Fitness/ Nutrition/ Lifestyle Consultant

Michael is the owner of The Lifestyle Center of Annapolis.  As a personal fitness trainer, nutritional consultant, and lifestyle coach, he has also been helping others to change their health and their lives for the better for the past 11 years.   Michael has a real passion for his craft.  In fact, Michael left a legal career after his health began to suffer and now lives what he teaches.  He considers himself a lifetime student, constantly keeping up with the latest advancements in the science and techniques of fitness and nutrition. 

Michael is certified as a Personal Fitness Trainer by the National Academy of Sport Medicine (NASM) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE).  He is also certified as a Medical Exercise Specialist (by the American Academy of Health and Fitness Professional (AAHFP), an Holistic Nutritional Consultant by the American Association of Nutritional Consultants (AANC), and is a Ph.D. candidate in Holistic Nutrition from the Clayton College of Natural Medicine.

Michael specializes in:

Jonny Reese CPFT

Jonny is certified as a Personal Fitness Trainer by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and has more than six years of experience.  During that time, he has enjoyed great success helping clients realize and achieve their fitness goals. He specializes in functional training, that is focusing on exercises that have a direct relationship to one's daily activities, sport specific training, and neck and lower back pain relief.

Jonny's passion for his craft and the energy he brings to his client sessions make him a perfect fit for our team. 



Laura Shanahan, CMT, RN
Massage Therapist/Reiki Master/Registered Nurse

laura-head_shot Laura received her nursing degree from Anne Arundel Community College in 1989 and her massage degree from Baltimore School of Massage in 1995.  As a practicing nurse, Laura has worked with detox pediatrics, surgery, renal and pulmonary, and hospice.  Her nursing experience combined with her compassionate, intuitive nature has made her well suited for a career in the healing arts.  

Laura incorporates Swedish deep tissue, myofacial release, and healing stone therapy into her practice.  As a Reiki master, she uses healing vibration and energy medicine to help the client release physical and emotional blocks.  


Gretchen Serinis
Yoga Instructor 

gretchen-head_shot Gretchen has been practicing yoga since 1999.  Her classes are a fun and fluid integration of breath and freedom of movement with an emphasis on honoring one's body.  The gifts of her own daily practice---sleeping through the night, diminished anxiety and an overall feeling of balance---inspired Gretchen to share yoga with others.

Gretchen completed her a Teacher's Training with Ahimsa Yoga Center of Baltimore and then became a certified 200 RYT.  Currently, she is working toward an additional teaching accreditation at Kripalu Yoga Center.  Gretchen has studied with Todd Norian, Stephen Cope, Angela Farmer, and Eric Shiffman.

For Gretchen, "Yoga is a beautiful practice of learning how to honor your divine nature, and, in doing so, inspire others.  Namaste."  


Zlaya Novacic
Personal Trainer 

zlaya-head_shotZlaya Novacic, born in the former Yugoslavia, began his career in physical fitness on the volleyball court at an early age.  His desire to study and share the benefits of physical fitness led him to pursue and receive the degree of Professor of Physical Education from the University of Novi Sad. 

In 1992, after touring throughout Europe as a professional dancer, Zlaya gladly accepted an invitation to teach dance and physical fitness in the United States.  He later obtained his personal trainer certification from the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF).  While Zlaya is still passionate about dance, his primary focus is on developing individualized training programs for his clients.  Zlaya’s knowledge, charisma, and warmth inspire and motivate clients to reach and maintain optimal results.


Shifu Sean Marshall 
Tai Chi Instructor 

sean-head_shot Sean is a nationally-ranked martial artist and accomplished instructor of traditional Kung Fu, contemporary Wushu and Tai Chi (Taiji Quan). He has over twenty years of training and over thirteen years of full-time coaching experience. Sean has trained many gold medalists and over twenty black sash students. He brings a holistic philosophy to his practice and his affirmative teaching style focuses on building the skills step by step, and challenging with near-term achievable goals as well as longer-term stretch goals.  Sean is also the founder of the Jing Ying Institute in Arnold, Maryland.


Quiana Keeve, BS, CPFT
Personal Trainer

Quiana earned her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology and Kinesiological Sciences from the University of Maryland. She is certified as a Personal Fitness Trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).  She has been working with clients for more than 10 years and specializes in group training.  Quiana brings a good-natured, yet steadfast approach to her training, earning her the nickname “Sarge” to many of her clients (she is also a P.G. County police officer). 


Martha Rogers
Yoga Instructor, Administrative Assistant

martha-head_shot Martha received first yoga teacher certification from Sivananda Yoga Center in Quebec. She then began teaching in the Annapolis area and since has studied in India, Greece, Thailand and New Zealand. Her teachings have also been influenced through workshop intensives with nationally renowned teachers such as Rod Stryker, Victor Van Kooten, Jenny Otto, and Erich Shiffmann. Currently, Martha is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, MD.

Martha is passionate about the creative process. She advocates self-expression through creativity. Nature, and her myriad faces, is her greatest muse. Her life philosophy is simple: "Do what you love. Do it with LOVE. Life is too short for anything else."

Martha is available for private yoga sessions. Sessions emphasize proper alignment, breathing, and guided relaxation.


Judy Villano
Administrative Assistant

judy-head_shot A graduate of Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business Management, Judy handles client relations, administrative support, and basically runs the front office.  She also administers and counsels people in our Weight Loss for Life weight management program. 

Like the practitioners on our Team, Judy has developed a genuine passion for holistic health and lives much of what we espouse here at TLCA.  Judy is a wife and mother of two.
